The Casilina Bed & Breakfast is now a charming villa. It was built in the late 1800’s as a typical Tuscan farmhouse with a peasant tradition. Its rustic architecture and furnishings have been preserved: the terracotta floors, wooden beams, exposed stone and egg white walls.
The farmhouse can accommodate up to 6 people. Several independent entrances. The wooden hearth kitchen with utensils from rural memory.
A large living room with sofas and a dining room with a stone fireplace. The furniture are those of the Tuscan past, sideboards and cupboards. The large terrace embraces the countryside and projects to the sea, ideal for outdoor dinners and barbecues, but also as a solarium. On the other side is the English-style lawn with ornamental plants and a Jacuzzi, ideal for pleasant hours of relaxation, for a sunset aperitif.
The Casalina Bed & Breakfast was born from a dream, that of Moreno and Pasquina: wanting to bring back to life the old farmhouse that was part of the agricultural tradition of the island of Elba.
Pasquina herself had lived there with her mother Lina, her sisters and her brother until the early 1970s. Life was that of the land, the farm animals and the many products of the earth that marked the days and seasons.
Abandoned for many decades, the farmhouse was restored to its original form and architecture, preserving its taste and rural roots. The dream came true when Moreno and Pasquina, after a long renovation, decided to open the farmhouse to those who want to share with them the most genuine sense of hospitality, that of being an attentive guide who respects the times and rhythms of others, of those who want to immerse themselves in another dimension, letting themselves be taken by the hand of those who can lead them, with discreet advice, to the soul of an island all to be discovered and loved.
